Laurel's Welding & Fabrication with Pipeline Technology program will prepare graduates for entry-level positions in welding repair, welder fabricator, industrial mechanics, and pipefitter/welder.
You will be trained in:
- Welding procedures
- Blueprint reading
- Fabrication
- Layout
Additional instruction is provided in various processes and techniques of welding and fabrication skills. Coursework includes oxyacetylene welding, brazing, and cutting (OAW), Arc Welding (SMAW), MIG Welding (GMAW), Flux Cored Welding (FCAW), TIG welding (GTAW), Pipe welding and certification test preparation per current industry standards, practices and techniques.

Our Welding Programs in Hermitage & Uniontown, PA are pleased to announce the launch of an American Welding Society(AWS) Accredited Test Facility(ATF) powered by Rig Fab Energy Services. The two campuses will now serve as official testing locations for AWS registered welding certifications. Students and members of the welding public are able to take advantage of this elite level of industry credentialing. Laurel has partnered with Rig Fab Energy Services to ensure our students’ skill level in their trade will set them apart from others. In this partnership, Laurel graduates will have the opportunity to take AWS Certification tests at an Accredited Test Facility (ATF), becoming an AWS Certified Welder (CW).

Laurel is dedicated to preparing students and graduates for those “bright” employment and career opportunities and helping our local employers find their perfect candidates. Bright Outlook Occupations are jobs that are expected to grow rapidly in the next several years, are predicted to have a large number of job openings, and include new and emerging occupations in high-growth industries!
