What is the Premier Employer Partnership?

Laurel's Premier Employer Partnership leverages support from local employers to furnish students with financial resources to obtain their degree. Participating businesses and organizations play a key role during every step in the process, providing career guidance, meaningful workplace experience and the opportunity to start working immediately following graduation. Employers benefit by developing a pipeline of local students who are trained in a relevant degree program and are engaged in both their workplace and their city or town. This Premier Employer Partnership at Laurel offers a, no-cost, program that gives employers the opportunity to help train and shape the workforce that will move their industry forward, and help keep their local communities vibrant.

 

 

Our Cosmetology students were invite to tour the spas of Avalon Buhl in Hermitage, PA and the Avalon Grand Resort in Warren, OH! They were all very excited to see these amazing spa and talk with Spa Director, Penni Mokros! A huge thank you to the Avalon and Grand Resort for a great time while visiting them!

Two Laurel graduates from our Culinary Arts program returned to the Sharon campus for a pop-up market even on behalf of the Avalon. The Avalon offers exclusive benefits through our Premier Employer Partnership program, such as paid internships and career growth opportunities.

Our second and third semester cosmetology students had the opportunity to take a tour of the Avalon at Buhl and Avalon Grand Resort. Spa director Penni Mokros showed them around both spas, and discussed the opportunities for stylists, nail technicians, and estheticians. Thank you Avalon for your hospitality!
