Valerie Bacharach promoted to Vice President of Education
Bacharach joined LBI in Uniontown, PA, in 1995 as an instructor.
Valerie Bacharach was recently promoted to Vice President of Education for Laurel Technical Institute (LTI) and its sister school, Laurel Business Institute (LBI).
In her new position, Bacharach is responsible for curriculum development and new program development for each school, and she will continue to serve as the director of the Uniontown campus, a position she’s held since 2005. As director of the Uniontown Campus, she is responsible for faculty and staff supervision, and day-to-day operations of school. Prior to this, Bacharach was director of education from July 2001 to 2005, director of academic affairs from July 1998-2001, and has been an instructor at the school since June 1995.
She earned her master’s degree in education from Ohio State University, and she earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio University. She has been a board member of the Community Foundation of Fayette County since 2006 and a board member of Imagination Library since 2008.
Nancy Decker, President of the school, says ”Valerie’s ability to deal effectively and fairly with students and staff alike has made her an instrumental part of the school’s and our student’s success, and this ability was evident to us from the start. We’re happy she will bring these talents to LTI, our new locations in Sharon and Meadville, PA.”
